Our week started off with a productive kickoff meeting alongside our project sponsor, Harry. This set the stage as we showcased our project plan and agreed on the next steps. Following our meeting we started working on the project.
First, we employed our hybrid (mix between agile and waterfall) project management approach to organize the project, define a detailed task list, and create a backlog. Second, we brainstormed the structure of the new website's navigation and its potential design.
Finally, Dario M. designed the structure of the website in Adobe XD, while Hiro looked at possible SEO keywords and Dario S. researched more about the content of the GearApp active websites.
On Thursday afternoon, we discussed our findings and questions with Harry, who gave us the green light for the design and specified some unclear points. Later, we received access to his Google Analytics data, which we used to analyze all previous web traffic.
Through our dedicated efforts, we've made significant progress in the first week and are confident about the upcoming steps in our project.
Next to our project work we had several excursion and explorations.
On Wednesday we went to the Swisscom Outpost, where we learned about Silicon Valley (SV), different types of early investors and Swisscom’s mission in SV.
As the Swisscom Outpost is in Palo Alto, we went to Stanford next, where we walked around the campus and engaged with Stanford students.
On the weekend we visited the Japanese American Museum of San Jose, toured to the Winchester Mystery House, and went shopping in the Santana Row.
