Our second week began with creating hand-drawn wireframes on a whiteboard. We made two different designs per page, first of the landing page and second of a product page.
The first two frames in the picture below show the landing page. On the left is the first design, on the right is the second design. The third and last frame show a product page.

After we were satisfied with the designs, Dario M. designed mockups in Adobe XD.
The result is shown in the pictures below. The left image shows the first version, with a red navigation bar and the features shown as tiles. The right image shows a white navigation bar and text next to a picture (or icon).

The most challenging aspect of the designing process was finding pictures and icons, which we were allowed to use and were suitable in the design.
After finishing both designs on Tuesday afternoon, we sent them to our sponsor. He reviewed the designs with his team and provided us feedback on Thursday afternoon.
In the meantime, we were looking at how to implement the designs in WordPress and researched what content should be put on it.
After our Thursday call with our sponsor, we began testing his active app. We started documenting our findings in a testing report. Over the weekend we had finally received access to our sponsors WordPress installation, and we immediately started working on a test page, which is shown here:

We would usually work from the Action Spot (AS) in San Jose, which hosts most of our external presentations and lectures. The AS is a co-working space, with meeting rooms, conference rooms, and working spaces.
However, wanting a change, we experimented with other locations.
On a day where we had no obligations in the morning, we worked at home and went to the AS after lunch. As our air conditioner at home is quite weak, it would get unbearably hot in the afternoon. Another day we went to the university but quickly realized that it was not the best place to work, as there are a lot of students and there was no separate room for us. The library would make it difficult for us to discuss together, which excludes this too.

Going forward, we will mainly work in the Action Spot, with occasional home office in the morning.
