WordPress

This week, we launched the new GearApp website, building upon last week's test page.

On the homepage, we added content, refined the design and customized the mobile format, as the default responsive design did not meet our expectations.

Additionally, we developed a content concept, in which we planned the images and text for each of the subpages. The design of each subpage will be done in Adobe XD, or on the fly in WordPress. Based on the sitemap we had planned, there will be approximately a dozen subpages.

SEO

In conjunction with content planning, we created a basic SEM (search engine marketing) strategy, outlining all the necessary steps for effective SEO (search engine optimization).

Lastly, we wrote a brief section about search engine advertisement (SEA).

Mid-week meeting

After completing our work, we held a mid-week call with our project sponsor. During the call we discussed potential WordPress plugins, which can be used to make designing the website and SEO easier.
